Wholesale Policy

Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Policy.

Veryplants protects retailer margin by setting a single, public retail price for every SKU and requiring that authorized resellers advertise at or above it. This page is the canonical version of that policy.

Effective: May 4, 2026 · Applies to: all approved Veryplants wholesale customers, distributors, and any third-party resellers acquiring product through them.

1. Purpose

Veryplants invests in product, packaging, and brand to support strong sell-through and protected margin for our retail partners. Inconsistent advertised pricing across channels (especially Amazon) erodes that margin and damages the brand for everyone. This policy keeps the MSRP printed on our wholesale portal as the single canonical retail price across all advertising surfaces.

2. Definitions

MSRP / SRP

The Suggested Retail Price for each SKU as published on the Veryplants Wholesale portal product detail pages and on veryplants.com. This is the per-unit consumer price. The MSRP can change without notice; the wholesale portal is always the canonical source.

MAP (Minimum Advertised Price)

The MAP for each SKU equals the published MSRP. This is the lowest price at which the SKU may be advertised.

Advertising

Any communication that displays a price for a Veryplants product, including but not limited to: e-commerce product listings (your site, marketplaces), Amazon listings, Google Shopping, social media posts and ads, paid search, email campaigns, printed flyers and catalogs, in-store signage, price tags, shelf-talkers, and any digital signage visible to consumers.

3. The MAP Rule

Authorized Veryplants resellers may not advertise any Veryplants product at a price below MAP, in any medium, for any reason, including limited-time promotions, holiday sales, or clearance events, without prior written authorization from Veryplants.

Selling vs. advertising: MAP restricts the advertised price, not the in-cart or final transaction price. A retailer is free to sell at any price they choose at point of sale. They simply may not advertise below MAP. "Add to cart to see final price" is a permitted workaround.

4. Amazon and Online Marketplaces

This policy applies with full force to Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, eBay, Etsy, Faire, Wayfair, and any other online marketplace where a price is displayed to consumers.

The Amazon "Buy Box" price, the strikethrough price, and any sponsored ad copy must all comply with MAP.
If your Amazon listing is automatically repriced by a third-party tool, you remain responsible for compliance. We recommend setting your repricer's floor to MAP.
Veryplants intentionally lists higher than MAP on its own Amazon storefront to give retailers air cover. Retailers undercutting that price erode the policy for everyone.
Resellers are not permitted to relist Veryplants products on Amazon without prior written consent. Unauthorized listings will be reported and removed.

5. Permitted Exceptions

The following do not violate MAP:

Cart pricing. Any pricing shown only after a product is added to cart, or behind an "add to cart for price" link, is not advertising.
Bundle promotions. Selling a Veryplants product as part of a documented bundle with non-Veryplants items, where the bundle price prevents per-unit price extraction, is permitted. Email us before running the promotion.
Damaged or end-of-life clearance. Visibly damaged units or last-call discontinued SKUs may be advertised below MAP only with written authorization from Veryplants. Email wholesale@veryplants.com for approval before posting.
Logged-in pricing. Pricing visible only to authenticated members of a closed customer group (e.g. a "members get 10% off" portal) is not considered advertised.

6. Enforcement

Veryplants reserves the right to monitor pricing across all channels, including via automated tools and third-party services. Violations are addressed in writing as follows:

First violation: Written notice with 72 hours to correct. No financial penalty if corrected within the window.
Second violation (within 12 months): Suspension of wholesale account for 30 days. New orders blocked. Open orders honored.
Third violation: Termination of wholesale account. Outstanding orders fulfilled at our discretion. No reinstatement for 12 months and only after written commitment to comply.
Egregious or repeated marketplace violations (especially on Amazon) may bypass the warning ladder and result in immediate termination.

7. Reporting Violations

If you spot a competitor advertising below MAP, please report it. We investigate every report and take action if warranted. Send a screenshot, the listing URL, and a timestamp to wholesale@veryplants.com. Reports are kept confidential.

8. Unilateral Policy

This is a unilateral policy. Veryplants is not seeking agreement from resellers, nor entering into any pricing arrangement. We are notifying you of our pricing requirements as a condition of doing business with us. Compliance is voluntary in the sense that resellers are free to discontinue carrying our product if they prefer not to comply.

Veryplants does not negotiate this policy with individual resellers or accept side agreements. Any communication suggesting otherwise is not authorized.

9. Right to Modify

Veryplants may update this policy, the MAP for any SKU, or the list of authorized resellers at any time without notice. The current version on this page supersedes any prior version. Resellers are responsible for checking this page periodically.
